Pressure reducing valve set at 3 bar. To be used in conjunction with Hyco 5L, 10L and 15L unvented (mains pressure) water heaters. This kit is required if there is a risk that mains incoming water pressure may exceed 4.2 bar.

The valve works by reducing the pressure at the outlet side to a maximum of 3 bar, regardless of the pressure on the inlet side. If the incoming water pressure is too high and this pressure reducing valve is not fitted, the pressure relief valve (supplied with the heater) might open and discharge water constantly. This is a clear indication that a pressure reducing valve is required. The pressure reducing valve must be fitted so that the water flows in the direction of the arrow.
